• Financial Data: Transactions, categories, budgets, and recurring settings that you enter.

• API usage, token generation, and third-party application connections.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the joinBudget service.
• To process your financial entries and display analytics.
• To enable real-time collaboration with users you invite to your spaces.
• To send administrative emails, such as password resets and service updates.
• To facilitate integrations with third-party applications and AI assistants via our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, only when explicitly authorized by you.

3. Data Sharing and Collaborative Spaces

Your privacy is important to us, and we handle sharing carefully:

• We do not sell your personal or financial information to third parties.
• If you invite others to a space, or join a space, the financial entries (and your name/email) within that space will be visible to other space members based on their roles.
• We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (like hosting platforms) who perform services on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Third-Party Apps & AI Agents: If you authorize a third-party application or AI agent (via PAT or OAuth), we will share your requested financial and account data with them according to the scopes you approved.

4. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When an account is deleted, all associated data is permanently erased after a 30-day grace period.

5. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings.
• When you request account deletion, your account is scheduled for deletion and will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
• During the 30-day period, you can restore your account by logging back in.
• When your account is permanently deleted, any budget spaces you own and share with others will also be deleted, and all members will lose access to them.
• You can manage, review, and revoke access for any Personal Access Tokens (PAT) or OAuth integrations directly from your account settings at any time.

We use essential cookies and similar technologies necessary for authentication, session management, and securing the application. We may also use anonymous analytics cookies to improve our services.
