By accessing or using joinBudget, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you must not use our services.
2. Description of Service
joinBudget is a personal and collaborative budget tracking tool. We provide software to help you manage finances across multiple 'spaces'.
- We do not provide financial, investment, or tax advice.
- You can create collaborative spaces and invite other members to manage transactions.
- The service is provided for personal and business tracking purposes.
3. User Responsibilities and Accounts
To use the service, you must create an account using a valid email address.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- You must not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or compromise the application's security.
4. Collaborative Spaces
joinBudget allows you to share financial data with other users through 'Spaces'.
- The creator of a space is considered the 'Owner' and holds full administrative rights.
- The Owner is responsible for managing member roles (Member, Contributor, Viewer) and the data shared within the space.
- By joining a space, you agree that your actions and transactions within that space will be visible to other members.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- The data will not be lost or corrupted.
6. Account Termination and Deletion
You may terminate your account at any time through the application settings.
- Upon requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which it can be restored.
- After 30 days, all your personal data, including budget spaces you own, will be permanently deleted.
- If you delete your account, any spaces you own will also be deleted, and all invited members will lose access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
7. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
8. API, Third-Party Apps, and AI Agents
You may grant third-party applications and AI agents access to your account using Personal Access Tokens (PAT) or OAuth. This includes our Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
- You are fully responsible for the actions of any third-party app or agent you authorize, including those granted write access to create or modify data.
- You can revoke these permissions and tokens at any time through your account settings.
- We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your data once it leaves our systems.
